The Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST) offers fully funded graduate positions for international scholars entering Master of Science (M.S.), Ph.D., or Integrated M.S./Ph.D. programs. All admitted international students receive automatic financial sponsorship without needing a separate scholarship application.

Monthly Allowances: Basic stipend of 140,000 KRW/month (M.S.) or 295,000 KRW/month (Ph.D.), plus an international student allowance of 120,000 KRW/month (minimum 3.0/4.5 GPA) and 100,000 KRW/month meal allowance

Eligibility Criteria & Deadlines
Must hold non-Korean citizenship
Must hold a relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree prior to enrollment
Proof of English proficiency: TOEFL iBT 80, IELTS Academic 6.5, TOEIC 750, or an official English-Medium Instruction (EMI) certificate from your previous institution
