Texas Tech University Presidential Scholarship, United States of America.

 

Scholarship Description

Presidential Scholarships are awarded to entering first-time freshman who show exceptional academic ability through superior test scores and class ranking. Annual award amounts pay one-half toward fall and one-half toward spring terms. If you are a non-resident awarded a Presidential Scholarship, you will also qualify to pay in-state tuition. All merit awards are guaranteed for students admitted by April 1st; admission after this date is limited only by availability of these scholarships.

Requirements
If a student is eligible to receive one Presidential Scholarship from the TTU Presidential Scholarship program, the Presidential offer replaces any other Presidential scholarship offers. Presidential Merit Scholarships apply only to Texas Tech University programs of study. Texas Tech University scholarships do not transfer to Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), Texas Tech Costa Rica, or Angelo State University. The opportunity to be considered for TTUHSC scholarships will be available when you apply for admission to a TTUHSC program of study.

Eligibility
In addition to test scores and class rank, to be eligible for the Presidential Scholarship, you must be an incoming freshman, first-year college student (college credits earned through dual-credit, CLEP, or AP do not disqualify you).
You must meet the following requirements throughout your TTU academic career:
- Maintain cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) as outlined on the "Terms and Conditions" tab of MyTech (see below).
- Maintain full time enrollment in a Texas Tech academic program and accumulate at least 30 TTU hours per year during the fall, spring, and summer terms.
- Keep addresses, including email address, current on MyTech.
- If requested, write a thank you letter to the scholarship donor when and as directed by the Texas Tech University Scholarship Office.

The Study in Canada Scholarships (SICS) offer Canadian post-secondary institutions the opportunity to host international students from a diverse range of countries and territories for short-term study or research exchanges. Funded by Global Affairs Canada through the Academic Relations program, SICS aims to strengthen and diversify Canada’s international linkages and partnerships.

 

The new connections created through the program will diversify and enrich Canada’s education engagement with a diverse range of partners, strengthen bilateral ties, as well as deepen people-to-people ties and cultural connections between Canada and participating countries/territories.

 

Canadian institutions interested in participating are encouraged to promote the program to their faculty, staff, and eligible partner institutions. Institutions abroad interested in sending their students to Canada are encouraged to explore student exchange agreements with Canadian institutions. Students wishing to pursue short-term studies or research in Canada should review the eligibility criteria and contact their institution’s international office for application details. Canadian institutions are responsible for submitting applications on behalf of eligible candidates.

are already participating in a scholarship program funded by the Government of Canada;

are already enrolled in a degree, diploma or certificate program at a Canadian post-secondary institution.

Canadian post-secondary institutions interested in hosting students must:

 

be a Designated Learning Institution  (DLI);

have a valid student exchange agreement with the student’s home institution that waives tuition fees for scholarship recipients (required for college/undergraduate study only).

Scholarship conditions

Selected candidates agree to:

 

engage in full-time studies or research as defined by the Canadian institution;

abstain from clinical training or clinically-oriented research involving direct patient-care;

focus primarily on full-time studies or research during their stay in Canada;

return to their home institutions after the scholarship period to complete their studies;

Failure to meet these conditions may result in the cancellation of the scholarship.

Only applications submitted directly by Canadian institutions will be considered.

Scholarships cannot be deferred and are not renewable

Scholarships are subject to availability of funding from the Government of Canada

30 new scholarships to deserving international students

The University of Bologna is offering 30 new scholarships to deserving international students who intend to enrol in second cycle degree programmes in a.y. 2025/26.

 

  • Scholarships are worth €6.500 gross and include full exemption from tuition fees.

 

Scholarships and exemptions are awarded for two academic years, based on GRE test scores and the verification of financial status. Payment of instalments is subject to conditions of merit.

 

Requirements

You can apply for International Talents @Unibo if you meet the following requirements:

 

qualification: you have obtained, or are in the process of obtaining, a qualification belonging to a non-Italian education system, valid for access to your second cycle programme.

merit: you will have taken the GRE test by the deadline for application:  GRE is an aptitude and skills assessment test that can be taken in affiliated centres in various countries around the world or online (if offered by the organisation in charge). You must register for the tests through the websites of the organisations in charge.

The test is held in English.

financial status: you have an ISEE (Equivalent Economic Situation Indicator) of between €16.000 and €35.000 or equivalent financial status, if you cannot submit an ISEE certificate because your family has income outside Italy.

Read the information on the documentation to certify your family's economic situation valid for 2025. Carefully check the required documents to prepare them in good time, because you will have to submit them by the deadline of the call and it can take several weeks to obtain them.
