Scholarship Description

The Government of Hungary Bilateral State Scholarship offers full scholarships that cover tuition, and provides a living stipend of €4680 for international students to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate degrees at Hungarian higher institutions.

 

The Hungary Bilateral State Scholarship for Full Degree Studies 2025, offered by Tempus Public Foundation with the financial support of the Hungarian Government, provides an exceptional opportunity for international students to pursue their academic ambitions in Hungary.

 

This scholarship is designed to support bachelor’s, master’s, one-tier master’s, and doctoral studies in any field of study or art at accredited Hungarian higher education institutions. The scholarship is only available for studies at any accredited Hungarian higher education institution.

 

Based on the financial support of the Hungarian Government, Tempus Public Foundation offers scholarships for foreign high school or higher education graduates who would like to gain further knowledge and experience conducting full degree studies at any level and in any field of studies or arts.

 

Eligibility

• To be considered for the Government of Hungary Bilateral State Scholarship, you must:

• Be foreign citizens who hold a secondary school graduation certificate or a higher education degree.
• Meet the specific requirements of their chosen Hungarian institution, including a successful entrance exam.
• For doctoral applicants, possession of a master’s degree and admission to a doctoral school in Hungary are mandatory.
• Additionally, students applying for programs conducted in languages other than Hungarian are required to participate in Hungarian language and culture courses, fostering a deeper cultural integration and learning experience.

Eligibility Criteria of Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2025-26:

• Candidates from eligible countries may apply.
• Candidates applying for a bachelor’s degree must have a secondary school graduation certificate.
• Candidates must have an excellent academic record.
• Candidates applying for a master’s degree should have a bachelor’s degree.
• Candidates applying for doctoral degrees should have a master’s degree.
• Candidates applying for a one-tier or non-degree program must have a certificate of student status issued by the sending/home university.
• The responsible authorities of the Sending partner countries must nominate candidates.

• The applicants have to apply online on the website of the Tempus Public Foundation.
• Provide all your detailed personal information, e.g., name, address, date of birth, country, religion, etc.
• Complete all the required fields for each level.
• The applicants have to submit the application on the website and save it.
• After applying to the Tempus Foundation website, the applicants need to apply also through the sending partner of the countries they belong to.
