Details for the Swedish Institute (SI) Scholarship for Global Professionals for the 2026 academic year

Category Details

Coverage * Full tuition fees paid directly to the Swedish university.

Monthly living allowance of SEK 12,000.

One-time travel grant of SEK 15,000 (or SEK 10,000 for specific Eastern European countries).

Insurance against illness and accident.

Membership in the SI Network for Global Professionals (NFGP) and the Sweden Alumni Network for ongoing development and networking. |

| Target Audience | Mid-career professionals and future leaders from 33 eligible countries in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe, and Latin America who are committed to sustainable development.

Key Criteria: Must be liable to pay tuition fees, have at least 3,000 hours of documented work experience (for most countries), and demonstrated leadership experience.

Eligible Countries include: Bangladesh, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Ukraine, Vietnam, and many others. |

| Key Dates (2026) | * Oct 16, 2025 – Jan 15, 2026: Apply for eligible Master's programs via University Admissions.

Feb 9–25, 2026: Submit the separate SI Scholarship application online.

Mar 26, 2026: University admissions results announced.

Apr 23, 2026: SI Scholarship recipients announced. |
