🇨🇦 New Brunswick Critical Worker Pilot (NBCWP) – 2025 Update

🛠️ What is the NBCWP?
The NBCWP is a five-year pilot program (running until 2027) initiated by the Government of New Brunswick to address critical labor shortages in various sectors. It’s an employer-driven stream, meaning applications are made through participating employers rather than directly by candidates.
✅ Eligibility Criteria:
• Age: 19 to 55 years old at the time of application.
• Language Proficiency: Minimum Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) level 4 in English or French. Accepted tests include IELTS, CELPIP, TEF Canada, and TCF Canada.
• Education: At least a Canadian high school diploma or an equivalent foreign credential assessed by an Educational Credential Assessment (ECA).
• Work Experience: Minimum of 1,560 hours (equivalent to one year of full-time work) in the past five years.
• Job Offer: A genuine, full-time, non-seasonal, permanent job offer from a participating New Brunswick employer.

💼 Application Process:
1. Secure a Job Offer: Apply directly to one of the participating employers.
2. Expression of Interest (EOI): Once you have a job offer, create an EOI profile through the Immigration New Brunswick (INB) online portal.
3. Invitation to Apply (ITA): If selected, you’ll receive an ITA and have 45 days to submit a complete application.
4. Nomination: Upon approval, you’ll receive a nomination from New Brunswick.
5. Permanent Residency Application: Apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residency.
📄 Required Documents:
• Identity Documents: Passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate (if applicable).
• Language Test Results: Valid results from an accepted language test.
• Educational Credentials: Diploma and ECA report.
• Work Experience: Reference letters, employment contracts, pay stubs.
• Job Offer Letter: Detailed offer from a participating employer.
• Settlement Plan: Outline of how you plan to settle in New Brunswick.

• No Proof of Funds Required: Unlike other immigration streams, NBCWP does not require proof of settlement funds.
