2026 MEXT Scholarship for citizens of Tanzania. Tanzanians
who want to study full-time in Japanese colleges or schools can apply for fully
supported scholarships from the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture,
Sports, Science, and Technology (MEXT).

Research applicants: 15 April 2025 – 20 May 2025

Undergraduate/Specialized Training College applicants: 15

Steps for applying for 2026 Japanese government scholarship
for Tanzanians – (MEXT) scholarship program, Japan Embassy in Tanzania:
Visit the Embassy’s website, read the announcement, and
review the areas or fields of study and the levels of education that are being
funded.
Go through the requirements listed to ensure you meet the
criteria for the field you intend to apply for.
Once you identify that you meet the criteria for the chosen
field, download the guide for that field, which explains how to apply. Also,
download the necessary forms to complete the application.
Fill out the forms following the instructions and
requirements of each form. Please do not deviate from the procedure outlined
for filling out these forms. Fill them out as directed. Let’s avoid the habit
of imposing our procedures on matters that do not concern us.
Attach certificates, letters, or documents required to
complete your application.
Ensure that each attachment corresponds with the form as
listed in the checklist.
If you are attaching a photo to a certain form, do not
staple the photo with a staple pin; instead, use adhesive pins specifically for
attaching photos (the staple pin will be sent separately).
Once you have completed filling out the forms and attaching
all necessary documents, place your application in an envelope and deliver it
by hand to the Embassy. Do not send it by mail or any other means.
