Latvian State Scholarships 2025
The Latvian State Scholarships 2025 offer substantial financial support to help students achieve their academic goals. Bachelor’s students and 2nd level professional higher education students in their first to third year of study receive €500 per month, while Master’s students and 2nd level professional higher education students in their fourth year or beyond are granted €600 per month.
For PhD students, the scholarship amount increases to €700 per month, providing ample assistance for their advanced research and studies. Additionally, the scholarship extends to international students, academic, and research staff attending summer schools in Latvia, fostering global academic exchange. While these scholarships do not fully cover tuition or living expenses, they significantly ease the financial burden, making quality education in Latvia more accessible
Degree Levels Covered
- Bachelor’s Degree: Applicants must have completed at least one academic year at a higher education institution.

Eligibility Criteria
1# General Requirements:
- Applicants must choose and receive confirmation from a Latvian higher education institution (HEI) for their desired study program before applying.
- Scholarships are awarded for a maximum of two terms during studies.
2# Academic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s applicants must have completed at least one year of studies.
- Master’s and PhD applicants are welcome from any HEI background.
3# Additional Notes:
- Scholarships cannot be combined with other grants.
- Students must arrange for their own insurance and travel expenses.
